All artists who want to join MUST interview with the head curator or co-curator before attending the life drawing sessions! All life drawing sessions are private behind locked doors and we are very serious about keeping our art models safe. We want to ensure that prospective members are dedicated to their craft and community as artists.
About Us
Upstairs Smoking Section is an art collective based mostly in Philadelphia, enlisting more than 40 artists semi-permanently at bars around the city including Connie's Ric Rac and Raven Lounge. We are always accepting applications and inquiries through Instagram, or our website.
Purchase original, one of a kind work, directly from the bartenders or online anytime.

Members have the privilege of practicing their technique through our weekly life drawing classes along with having a space to exhibit and sell their work to the public in a casual, laid back setting. Our goal is to provide a space for artists to grow, network, provide each other with input, and meet potential patrons.
